Just get any cover of the NY Post. I'm not linking them, but chances are your local news and all the tabloid shows have featured them already. My question, which may be a bit over-sensitive, but not politically correct, is this is a bit sexist/racist? First Black President, First Shirtless President? Not one to mind a little gratuitous manflesh, I find these pics a little much. Anyone else?

I haven't seen these particuar pictures, but well over a year ago--before the campaign had worked up much steam--I saw some photos of Obama at the beach. He's just a skinny middle-aged man, nothing special, but not particularly repulsive either.
It's intrusive, and it's ridiculous, but I don't think you can call it racist (or sexist). If the media had ever gotten hold of images of Bush or Clinton shirtless they'd have run them.

Speaking of photos, have you seen the pics Time magazine has dug up? They were taken by a fellow student when Obama was an undergrad.
Some folks over in the smoking crater we used to call "The Right" are suggesting that the magazine sat on the photos until after the election. I say if they were, they must have been on McCain's side.

Compared to Daniel Craig, sure, Obama's just OK. Compared to other American men his age, most of whom have mirror disease, Obama's the pick of the litter.

It's a different set of pics from about a year ago, when he was disporting in the surf with average middle-aged love handles. He's apparently been on quite the workout regimen at the local military base in Hawaii. Thus, he KNEW these photos would make the dailies. I'm not sure if tighter abs are going to fix the economy, but if he wants to keep setting himself up like a black Jack Kennedy, I don't suppose there's anything we can do about it.
