It's a grainy cell phone pic, but this is my cat!!!! I've had the poor little guy since 2000 and he still doesn't have a name.. The saddest part about it is that I've named all my fish... I've tried hard to name him, but for some reason nothing sticks with.....

I had a German friend when I was a teenager who called his cat Katze. Yes, it's the German word for cat.

Dirck: The cat doesn't care if it has a name, so don't worry about it. Dirck's Cat is obviously well cared for so we don't think any less of you.
tojo: Your little news story, like sofa's "Dicklets" story, makes me profoundly homesick.

It's a velocicatter. Its deadly, sickle-like foreclaws remain unextended until the moment of attack.
I heard it's learning to open doors.

Isn't there a Zen koan instructing the student to say one thing about a cat,* which should elicit a meow or imitation of some other cat-like aspect from the student rather than a verbal response? In a similar vein, a cat's true name must forever be beyond words.
*NOOOO, I'm not referring to the koan about Nansen and his ill-fated cat. Abomination!

Curiosity didn't kill the cat, but it did cause the cat to have to run for its life. In the end, though, the cat thought this was a good tradeoff, until the day when the cat was killed. Other than the terror of his eventual, painful death, it was all worth it, he thought. x9

Depending on what you mean, if you're serious about that then you might want to get it checked for a urinary tract or anal sac infection.

I meant it figuratively. The whole damn crusty animal is an anal sac. Nothing like stepping out of bed first thing in the morning and straight into a squishy surprise. It has outlived it's useful span by about 5 years now.

I asked a friend of mine who lives in Japan about the video, and here's what he said: . . .
The way that I heard it was: And, the China-Man says, "And, that cat pulled both of my children out of the house when it caught fire." "Wow," the American responds, "That's amazing; But, you still haven't told me why the cat only has two legs." And, the China-Man says "Well, a cat that special - You don't eat it all once."

Awesome. I once tried to give my family's cat a bath. After a typical cat freakout it decided to escape by digging in its claws and climbing up my face, across my head, and down my back. My brother opened the bathroom door briefly to tell me to stop screaming since it was traumatizing the cat.

Scarydog, this is the cat thread. That photo belongs in the freaky bunny thread. How many times do we have to explain this?

If there are any children in the vicinity of this site, the best thing to do for them would be to turn their parents in to CPS and have them put in foster homes.

I can't believe this woman makes a larger income than mine -- and claims to be a cat lover. When her daughter runs away, I wonder if she'll post her "have you seen this child?" picture on the back of whiskey bottles.
