I like my original better.  Very Audrey Hepburn.

Here's another, though, just for fun.

I don't understand why people get so freaked out about eating cats or dogs. Granted, this particular method definitely needs an overhaul - particularly if they're taking people's pets - but how is a cat different from a cow or a pig? I love cats, enjoy their companionship, and I don't think I'd knowingly eat one, but hell, we're all meat and we've all got a rung on the food chain.

I have no issues with eating cat/dog either, so long as they're proper farm-raised cats and dogs.  I wouldn't want to eat some stray that's been wandering the back alleys of Hong Kong, eating human feces and dead rats.

A lot of meat flavor depends on the diet. My dad once brought home some meat from a bear that was scavenging at a garbage dump. Cooking it stank up the house. Not even the dogs would eat it. Non-garbage bear's darn good.

Before the current "craze" of gathering strays for meat, dogs used to be raised, in specific breeds, as food.  The animals would be fed a diet high in vegetable starches and proteins, with little meat, kind of like we raise hogs.  I imagine those would be far less gamey than stray animals, but what the hell do I know.  I'm just a round-eye barbarian.

That's a common problem with wild ducks... you never want to get a 'mudder' (one that's been rooting around in muddy ponds because of a lack of available food/water)... they taste like dirt.

Human babies that haven't had consistent diaper changes have a gamey taste too. Need extra seasoning, perhaps a strong wine sauce.

A friend of mine was a lab assistant for some behavioral research on blue crabs that involved testing their ability to get through various obstructions in order to get food.  These crabs were fed nothing but shrimp.

Every now and then, they'd decide to get a fresh batch of crabs, and my friend would give the old ones away to people.  Shrimp-fed crab is divine.
