You have to say it out loud. It's one of the most disgusting examples of onomatopoeia. It makes me cringe every time I hear it.

There is some bullshit tribe book that is required reading for all Bay Area burning man types. Back in my day we called them “communities.”

I see ya'll tend to be a bit annoyed by business speak, I'll throw down "Procurement" and "Drill-down" to the list.... A similar, but far more annoying version of the same thing to me is legalese.... It never ceases to amaze me how even the simplest of things can be turned complicated and ambiguous for no reason at all..... Another word which I've learned to live with lately, but which used to make me grind my teeth is the word "Product"....

"The hive mentality" pisses me off.
Also, any of the 10 billion trillion scadillion military acronyms I have to hear daily. I play this game in our Monday meetings that I call Acrobingo. I try to see which one of the 6 members of my department can say the most acronyms in their 10 minute update. Not surprisingly, my boss always wins.

Anything ending in "-ista"
Career coach
"It is what it is" (a sports-talk radio favorite)
Pro-life (sex-hating/anti-choice is the true meaning)

Suddenly? Welcome to the last couple of decades.
Chinese people generally don't have a problem with -- as long as you're referring to someone/something from China (I'm looking at you, Mexicans).
