I'm sorry, it was just incredibly exciting to be standing with a group of rowdy first, second and third graders..all of them fooling around and the assistant principal mouthing the word "shit!" to the audio visual people because the sound was spotty.. until the president elect stepped forward on the dais..and a hush fell over this insane crowd of kids who don't ever get enough of anything, and a little kid whispered next to me to another guy with a pencil up his nose who talking... "SHUT UP MAN!!  THAT'S OUR PRESIDENT!!"

And it was silent. For maybe just an instant. But it was fucking silent as he spoke.

I got chills. It was fucking amazing. i don't care if Obama never accomplishes jackshit, he's already broken through the fog.

This is the scary but amazing truth.

Bush can be blamed for anything and everything bad that happened, a vast majority of which wasn't his fault. Bush gets no credit for anything positive that happened during his presidency (record low unemployment, record markets, etc)...

Obama, on the other hand, could have the country collapse on his watch and his mindless followers will say, "I don't care, he's still better than Bush!!!! GOD BLESS OBAMA!!! OH-BA-MA, OH-BA-MA..."

The easily-lead are appeased. It should be a fun 4 years.
