This is a followup to the story about little Adolf Hitler Campbell (the kid who was denied a birthday cake).
The kids were taken away.

Not a smart move on the part of the authorities. They’ve made martyrs of these stupid people, and the children will grow up to be anti-government activists. Children should only be removed from homes where they are neglected, beaten, or molested. They should never be removed because the parents are Republicans, Evangelicals, or have some other belief or lifestyle many people find repugnant.

Times change, I suppose but I lived there a couple years as a kid and they had the best public schools I've ever seen, before or since.

What, you think it’s OK for the government to take children away from parents who have what you or I may consider asshole beliefs? I mentioned Republicans and Evangelicals because I think their beliefs suck, but I’m willing to concede these people love their children and will do their best when it comes to bringing them up.

We don't know why the kids were taken away, but I can tell you that it's probably NOT related to the names or ideology. You may recall from the original article that neither of the parents are employed and both live on disability. It's more likely that they are not caring for their children. These agencies are severely underfunded and understaffed and have better things to do than take away kids for no reason.

Obviously I can’t defend these parents without knowing the facts. What I do know from my own experiences with CPS workers is that they tend to be vicious self-righteous PC bulldykes who are not above letting their PC beliefs interfere with their professional judgment. No matter who you are, what your race, beliefs, orientation, or lifestyle, you should not consider our government to be your friend. The government and its actions should always be considered suspect until proven otherwise.

I think it's quite possible that the shenanigans around the kid's names, the birthday cake, the press attention and the father's general asshatery on international media are quite possibly the reason why the kids were taken away. With all due respect to HKG, child services types tend to be nosy busy-bodies and in many locations are well known for flying off the handle over silly bullshit (Florida) and snatching kids up from situations where the kids were safe and well taken care of, but the parents had some weirdness to their character, religion or sexuality, and then dropped into the horrible depths of what most of the country's varied foster care programs are. Having said this, we don't know, nothing in the article states why they were snatched. I actually kind of agree, since they didn't arrest the parents, that this is a bullshit overreaction of some social services bureaucrat trying to make a name for themselves, but I am smart enough to realize it's a rush to judgment.

I have two kids, and I know that you can't really give them a decent life when disability doesn't even pay for one adult.

I think it's because they've been whoring the children out to space aliens. The space aliens are paradimensional so when they get with the children it's not exactly what you would call sex. At least, not by human standards. As you might expect, the authorities cannot bring charges, since para-dimensional spooge doesn't fluoresce they can't find it for the required DNA tests. The aliens provide the family with all the ephedrine sulfate, iodine, matches, butane, swimming pool cleaning stuff, cold start fluid, alchohol, lye, fried foods and cigarette money which provides for their basic survival as a family unit. Disability can more than make up for the difference in rent, power and birthday cakes. You are so assumptive.

Cigarette money? Yeah, right. Now you're just being silly.

Yet they're able to afford an extensive collection of Nazi paraphernalia.
Hmmmm.

Stupid is as stupid does.
Yes, kids can be removed if there is domestic violence in the house. DCFS probably told them that the kids would be removed if the shit continued, and they didn't listen. I represented a crazy bitch who lost her kids for exactly the same reason (the biological father got custody). She swears to this day that the police lied, that the judge and the baby's daddy's attorney were in collusion, as were the child representative and the psychological evaluator, and that her face got busted up because she tripped, fell and hit a table.

You are dead on there fnord. They removed a child from the home of a friend of mine. His crazy wife took the kid and ran off and claimed abuse. She shacked up with some dude for a while and he really was abusive. She came running home and CPS came and took thier little boy. The cunt at CPS kept telling my friend to just admit that he abused his wife and then they would work on getting the kid back. Finally the told him that enough that he said he did it (even though he didn't) and they fucking called the police. To this day he has supervised visitation with his kid and never had him returned. The guy really never did any shit to his cunt of a wife, she just had a boyfriend on the side and the most socially acceptable way to shack up with him was to cry abuse like most of the women around these parts do when they want out of a relationship.

Of course you're only hearing your friend's side of the story. And if your friend said he abused her when he didn't, he's an idiot. You don't have to be a genius to figure out that nothing good would come out of saying you abused your wife.

Your arguement does not surprise me as I left the door open for it. I have known this guy for 30 years and have seen him with his family a thousand times. He is meek and certainly not abusive. My point is that the woman at CPS badgered him and threatened him and then after all of those things failed, promised him help if he would confess. In her heart she believes that all men are abusers. Most people at those kinds of occupations are man haters.

How come Adolph Eichmann never gets kids named after him?

Cause no matter what side you're on, everyone knows that Eichmann was an officious little bitch. See, if I had my little nazi rugrats I would name them Otto Skorzeny Orange or Michelle Whittmann Orange.

I don't dig flyboys that much. I would want my children to be well versed in closing with the enemy and ripping his eyeballs out with their teeth.
(although, Rudel was a serious bad-ass)
