What a brilliantly cynical method of generating sales.

Did anyone really think it was more than just a marketing campaign?

I thought 10 percent off was pretty weak for a going out of business sale. If you're truly liquidating, you'd sell those shirts for a helluva lot less than 20 bucks.

The nature of his business is such that there would be no need to "liquidate".  I guarantee they carry no inventory.  Not with the state of t-shirt printing as it is today.

If this had been the first time he'd threatened to stop selling shirts it would've been more believable.  As for the 10%, he offered that much off to anyone claiming to be black a couple of months ago.
