I had to hit the back button!  My stomach was threatening to empty itself while I was looking at the pictures of “food” at that site.  Pictures of gross food items from other parts of the world don’t cause this reaction.

Fuck that site for omitting recipes.

I know what you mean.  It was the pizza smothered in gravy that did it for me.

We top this for revolting every day but my gag reflex and cresting waves of nausea croaked any attempt to front page it.  Someone else want to pick out the moneyshot? Shit.

I was working on a book review today for a cookbook focusing on the use of animal fats in cooking. The premise, and there is a great deal of sound reasoning behind it, is that animal fats are far healthier than many of the low-fat and chemically reconfigured substitutes we use today. As part of my review, I - natch - tried out some of the recipes, including the recipe for bacon mayonnaise. Rather than using olive oil, the recipe uses bacon fat.

It was very, very good.

When I first saw the gravy pizza, I thought it was chocolate...just as nauseating though...

Those burger-wrapped wieners (looking most deeeLISHus) and the gravy-slathered pizza possess a certain and instantly-recognizable-at-a-glance wrongfulness that will no doubt lure the innocent to our other culinary atrocities. The deep-fried s'more-on-a-stick will suitably tease the gluttonous with the puzzling presentation of its sweet creamy artificial innards.

I'm thinking that donut cheeseburger might be pretty tasty too.

Just imagine if you could hit it all at once at the buffet. Would it be worth the explosive diarrhea?

Actually, if you're thinking of really putting a pic on the front page, the Bob Evans Gravy Machine would be perfect.

Don't be mocking biscuits and gravy....  I love my biscuits and gravy along with hashbrowns, sausage and fried eggs.....  That stuff will kill me someday, but it tastes so damn good...

I've been known to stuff a cheeseburger with blue cheese and wrap it in bacon before grilling.  Then put cheddar on top.

For my money it's hard to beat the Two Hungry Guys breakfast: a full package of Tennessee Pride breakfast sausage, served on buttered and cheesed buttermilk biscuits, smothered in (all of) the gravy you make from (all!) the drippings.  Serves two.

This is what I was trying to explain to my wife's friend. A "non fat ice cream" may not have as many calories as the full-fat style but I am not sure that I really want to be eating some of the pseudo-plastics that bind the fake stuff together. At least I know where the plaque in my arteries is coming from.

Really, there's nothing wrong with eating that kind of stuff, as long as it represents binges between 6-month vegetarian stints. But I prefer simpler cholesterol binge fare - a dozen eggs, two at a time, over easy with thick slabs of buttered sourdough toast (or hard boiled - a good egg salad sandwich is not to be disdained), a whole pound of good italian salami and the same of real emmentlhaer in sandwiches with thin sliced red onion, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar, or perhaps a rib roast, rare, thin sliced, cold, sprinkled with salt and rolled...just that simple. The many greaseburger variations presented at the subject site are just overwrought attempts at grossout fare.

I filed that one last night.

Sounds like my standard issue breakfast. I've made my own sourdough for years but prefer thin slices, and eggs poached in water with a shot of white vinegar, perched on a hunk of cream cheese.

Keeps the whites from spreading out, ala egg drop soup.

I do believe this is suicide:  Giant burger between two large meat pizzas, eggs, bacon, colby and pepper jack cheese.

I tried the sloppy joe on the donut bun yesterday just for the fuck of it. You would not believe how good that was.
