I hope the woman who slammed the car door on his leg did significant damage and this potential rapist develops a blood clot and a nasty flesh eating bacteria infection! Why wasn’t he charged with lying in wait and attempted rape? Why is he out on bail? Somewhere in Georgia a future victim has no idea she will soon be raped.

I've never heard of a charge of "Lying in wait" and, whilst most of us surely assumed that his intent was rape, it is no more than that - An assumption absent any evidence absent a confession to such intentions (Which, thanks to most criminals being complete dumb-fucks, actually occurs more oft than most people would believe). Thus the "Felony entering of a vehicle" charge.

My question is why that is all they charged him with. I would have pushed for felony B&E, attempted kidnapping and simple theft.
If it were my daughter, they would have had to prosecute a corpse. You get into a car and find a strange dude sitting in the back seat, you don't resort to fisticuffs, you get serious.
