Egypt is Moslem in the same way that America is Christian--in name only for most of the population.

They raise pigs in Israel, as well. Egypt has a small, but long established Christian community (the Copts) who - being people of the Book - are generally left alone, except of course they aren't. They've suffered a great deal under religious extremism in Egypt. On the other hand, they've certainly doled out their own fun in the past, as well.
