What's interesting to me is his need to tell people hey, you're an idiot and I'm not. That suggests some unfinished business...Especially in a thread where the person is seeking out the very same people to validate his existence on this site.

Not a problem - Not a "grinder."  I usually whistle, sing, or tell bad jokes as rapidly as I can (And, occasionally in a poor imitation of my poor old Grand-Ma-Ma's voice (Hey, she was a bit of "A card" "in her day" - What can I say?)) whilst "cranking."  Alles Glei - You know what they say:  Vie est le chienne et tu morturi (Or, some-thing a-kin there-to).

Caffeine is well established as a powerful, addictive, moderately dangerous performance-enhancing stimulant.  It is a drug.

Bad analogy.  Most people aren't virgins just as most people don't go to orgies.  Claiming I'm some sort of extremist for calling drug abuse idiotic may make you feel better about getting fucked up but it's still bullshit.  You don't need to be perfectly clean to recognize that people rolling in shit are making themselves filthy.  But go ahead and make your excuses.  Your life is so bad that you can't deal with it without chemical assistance.  There's nothing about it that is bad for you.  Why, I suppose your doctor recommended it to you it's such a positive influence in your life.

The horsey-free browser was my finest moment at CSOTD.  The tribute page I put up for that juggallo freak Cates lured over (the guy who wanted to do his cousin) was another high point.  He was begging me to take it down before someone emailed it to his mommy.  I took some heat for showing mercy and taking it down.  And of course there were the weekly stats.  That was a labor of love.

Well, it's obviously more hazardous than, say, weed or LSD or DMT or shrooms or mescaline or salvia or occasional light usage of X.  Less hazardous than alcohol or cocaine or pcp or heroin or speed, I'd say.

I hafta agree with zookeep here....  Many of you may have noted that I'm extremely pro-drug and have promoted its legalization on more than one occasion.  I still think that the use of drugs from marijauna all the way up to narcotics is idiotic.  I'm speaking from experience as a prior pot head and I realize that smoking it in large quantities made me useless as a citizen.  People should have the right to do whatever the fuck they want to do as long as they don't hurt anyone else.  I'm more than willing to allow people the right to use whatever drug or mind altering chemical they want, but I also have the right not to hire them (incredible health, accident and theft risk).  Drug use cannot be rationally defended as anything positive, but should still be considered an individual right.  Stick around for awhile Zookeep and fight the good fight, we need more real conservatism here.

Again, there ya go with that bs.  You know as little about me in reality as I do of you.  You make assumptions that really are pretty far off the mark, and I am sure I do for you.  As you have never dealt with any of what I have had experience of off and on, you really are talking out of your area of expertise, bias yes, but certainly not expertise.

Do I use drugs on a daily basis?  I might have a drink or two.  Do I do anything else on a daily basis?  Coffee.   I do find your aspersions/judgements/put downs groundless.  I actually do a fair bit of drug counselling, and yes I have had experience with a wide variety of psychedelics over the years.  Since you haven't had any experiences with them, or from what I can tell actually done little or no investigative reading, you haven't any firm grounds to stand on in a conversation.

Your ideas about purity and drugs are they based on anything on reality?  Taken to what some would see as extreme, food, water, and oxygen all  modify consciousness.

Going by your statements I would venture you haven't actually studied consciousness, ontology and the like, or even familiarized yourself with the history of human interactions (let alone mammalian interactions with shifts of consciousness, via shamanism, ecstasy or say, yogic practices let alone drugs...

Maybe you should step down from what smells like a PSA from the DEA.  Whilst it is cute to cast everyone into outer hell for being different than you, it is less than entertaining for those that actually don't mind your presence.

No one's calling CPS. People tend to like me very much.

I live in a nice place. My kids are happy, and my older boy is an honor student. I feed my kids gourmet food, and yes, I bake cookies, too. I own a successful business and am a member of the Chamber of Commerce. I'm well spoken, reasonably pleasant to look at, and I keeps it real. I have an IQ so high, you'd never believe the number. So what if I'm kinda bad? It's part of my charm. People like me get away with murder. But I'm not a murderer, and my kid might even be better adjusted to reality than your kid. Matter of fact, I'm willing to bet money he is.

Dude, the Mormons are stalking the fuck out of me. Obviously I project a socially acceptable image. Do you think I'm like the trailer trash morons we post on here? I carry a handbag that's probably worth more than what your entire wardrobe is. Why would anybody ever call CPS on me? My own devoutly religious parents think I am a fantastic mom. I have done a hell of a lot worse than get stoned, but it had nothing to do with drugs, and no one is the wiser.

I have one thing left in my life that I freely acknowledge is a nasty, toxic, addictive vice.

This site (and cruel before it).

It helped me kick meth (which I also acknowledge is nasty. Fun, but nasty.). It validated the feelings that made me create my site that was posted to cruel and brought me here.

It (High Street) seems to now be provoking a similar disgust response from you that "sick" addictions normally do after some time.

Maybe you should take a minute to gather your thoughts, and subjectively experience your existence without the (admittedly) negative influence of this site.

Because if you continue to take out your emotional turmoil by calling me a loser, I'm gonna sine yo' fuckin' pitty on the runny kine.

I passed that along to Cates some time ago when he took over the stats.  CSOTD's forum had an RSS feed so it was easy to write a program that pulled the XML, parsed it and compiled the numbers.

I honestly don't know what those words mean.  It sounds a little like an Irish dialect of Dhalish.

I know someone who went to jail on drug charges and as a consequence lost her kid for a while.  But admittedly she wasn't as well-liked as you apparently are and was stupid enough to have a kid with someone who was dealing.  Not the case with you so I suppose the minor risk of getting busted is out-weighed by greater "benefit" of getting stoned.  I hope at least that someone else is watching the little ottoman while you are stoned.

Glad to to hear you are off the harder shit now.  I hope you and Mr. Sofie keep it together and he never tries to use your drug history against you.  Yeah, I know.  That would never happen.  I really do hope you're right.

I don't wish anyone to suffer...  Use all the drugs you want and I won't make fight to make a legal or social deal out of it.  I do know some drug addicts that are able to live well as users, but they don't make up the majority.  I'm cool with people using all the drugs they want, I just think they should accept the associated risks and not expect society to give them a safety net if they do fail.

This concludes the failed "piss them off enough to get voted off the island" portion of the show.  It's been fun.  Toodles.

Alcohol doesn't count?

I have about a two drink maximum, which happens on average once a month.  I don't take any drugs, prescription or otherwise; I don't drink coffee or anything caffeinated and I don't smoke.

However, I realize that everyone's body chemistry is unique, and everyone has a different way of coping with "reality."  I believe there are some people who can be functional and productive members of society while smoking marijuana on a fairly regular basis.  However, there are some who for whom it is indeed a gateway drug as they search for the "high" that best fits.

I'm not one to say that all drugs are useless or a crutch because for some people it is absolutely necessary.  At one point I had to help people with various mental illnesses get benefits and you can tell the difference between a bipolar person who takes lithium and one who doesn't.  Also, I know that everyone experiences pain differently, and that for some with chronic pain drugs are the only thing that keeps them from offing themselves.

The difference, though, between you and I is that I am actually the REAL libertarian.  I don't judge people because of their choices.  I may not agree with them, but I'm not in their skin and I don't experience their lives.  As long as they don't negatively impact me I truly believe in "live and let live."

I'm also one for rational application of law.  If drugs are illegal, take away caffeine, alcohol and nicotine.  Trying to say that other drugs are much worse is simply silly.

Fuckin' A - doing X & watching "Pooty Tang" sounds a lot better than getting drunk & watching "The Thin Red Line" (which is too close for psychic comfort) on Memorial Day.

Zook & Sofie -- isn't pot pretty much a non-issue when it comes to the good ol' CPS, regardless of how high functioning the parent unless you've got a cellar full of gimps and a refrigerator filled with dirty diapers?  And past meth use, at least in the states where I've lived, is not a good enough reason to put more kids into an overloaded system... Fuck, alcoholism and visible cuts and burns don't even seem to move kids out of abusive homes.  Not that that's right or correct or remotely OK, but circumstances are such that a kid in a home that's clean & well-run by pothead parents is not going to attract much attention unless someone is dealing from the household.

That's my fucking problem.  Oxycontin is fucking worth-less.  Weed, and - More effectively - Meth, work wonders on my pinched nerve; But, a-parently, people like Zookie don't want me to have those.

If I ever do get to the point that my only option seems to be to "blow my brains out," I'll be taking a few mouth-breathers out first.

Went to see it with the monsters and the Boss.  Without them it would have waited for video, but it's not bad.
