Finally got a decent snapshot of my old bastard cat:
I have sleep apnea, and so I sleep with a breathing mask at night. The first time I thought it was just an accident; gasping for breath, clawing at the mask to get it off, I jumped out of bed. The machine had been turned off suddenly, and instead of steady pressure, it was suddenly like breathing through a straw. Looking up, this asshole was perched over me, staring, with his paw on the power button. Three times later, I finally kicked his ass out of the room. The next night, the same thing happened.
The machine is not warm, and it's barely big enough for him to sit on. There's only only one reason for him to stand on the power button. Even though he doesn't have thumbs yet (I checked), he must be moving on to Phase II early, and trying to get me out of the picture. I bought him some fancy food with tuna in it, and we've been in a standoff for a few weeks now.

I use a CPAP machine myself. If my sinuses are stopped up---I have allergies plus a deviated septum---I have trouble breathing with the mask on.
I've always thought the old wives' tale about cats smothering babies might not be 100% b.s. I could see a housecat curling up on top of a nice, warm baby to sleep, not realizing that it's cutting off the baby's breath. Hopefully a baby in that situation would/COULD cry like hell for help, but maybe not. Like getting smothered by a pillow.

Bah, I was just coming in here to post that. Instead, you get two pics from Maru's website, and a Maru montage.

The song it-self is bad enough; But, it has the added displeasure of reminding of the night that I had to sit through that piece of shit movie.

Our cat Nicky had a rep locally for this kind of crap. He terrorized the local dogs, to the point where people would come to just look at him. He was old, and toothless and we'd say.... "This Cat, are you sure"? He beat up Labs, Standard Poodles, German Shepards, Dobes... He was a bad-ass. I miss him terribly. He would of been 21 this year. He was 16 when he died.

I think that's about the third time that "The Engineer's Guide To Cats" has been posted and I'm betting that it'll be posted at least three more times by the year's end.

I've seen domestic cats that are proportioned like that, but they all live ouside of seafood restaurants. I've never checked under a seafood restaurant cat, but I assume that the grass underneath them is invariably dead.

My cat was getting there when she was rescued from the dumpster at KFC.
